The fallout from the response to a collection of controversial remarks made by Kanye West continues as Morehouse Faculty introduced Monday that it’s canceled a basketball match involving Donda Academy.
Donda Academy, a personal prep college began by Ye, was scheduled to play The Expertise Manufacturing unit.
In a press release, Morehouse stated it “can’t condone” what the establishment described as “divisive and unproductive statements” made by the rapper.

“All through its historical past, Morehouse Faculty, maybe greater than every other establishment, has stood for social discourse which advances fairness and therapeutic, notably in areas involving race, tradition, and socio-economic disparities,” the college stated in a press release. “We, due to this fact, can’t condone, in notion or implication, the latest divisive and unproductive statements by Ye, previously generally known as Kanye West.”
Morehouse was the most recent entity to separate itself from West amid antisemitic feedback and a false declare that George Floyd died by fentanyl, not by the hands of Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of homicide for burrowing his knee into Floyd’s neck throughout an encounter in 2020.
